People perish
for a lack of knowledge

Beauty and the East
travel light watch your speech
Babylon by Bus
still Mama won't let I cuss
trust broken like bad ideals
the Beast becomes the beautiful
and truth is what's real

this is for I peeps that weep in the streets
and pound the concrete
this is for those who rose out the cracks
petals start shining
learning how to stack hay
and seize the day carpe diem
this is a hymn in church for those
at cyber-confessions man do you see 'em
this is for the Jesus' [Hey-Zeuses] last supper
in prisms convalescent homes
where people die old with no lovers
this is for mothers and brothers
fathers and daughters

Ancient Sea

I know a place where the waters run deep
I and I know a place where the Ancients speak
I think it's a crime not knowing where to stand
Should I feel acquitted in the absence of dry land

Will I walk on water or will I pride fail
Let I whisper be the wind and watch I heart set sail
If you can see I then you know where I stand
If you can touch I then you know who I am

So meet I at a place where the waters run deep
And I'll join the I at that place where the Ancients speak
Can't you hear the whispers in the morning air
Feel the courage rise higher than the fear
